Church Hurting Financially, Praying For Miracle

In Windham County, a local church is praying for a miracle.

The First Baptist Church in Brattleboro is planning on selling one of its stained glass windows in order to keep the church open and its homeless shelter up and running. The church says its hoping that another option will come through, but it is prepared to sell the Tiffany stained glass window if it has to and is moving forward with the sale process.

"The Tiffany, as beautiful as it is, is a material thing. And the choice was, should we keep the Tiffany? Or should we sell the Tiffany, and keep our doors open. So that's what we've decided to do," said Pastor Sue Andrews.

The pastor said that in the midst of the recession, the church's donations in the weekly offering have dwindled.
